Bronwen Haywood

Zonta Spirit Coordinator

Bronwen is a charter member for the Zonta Club of Central Goldfields which formed in 2012 centred around Maryborough in Central Victoria.

She has held Executive roles since then, including President from 2018 -2020. She is the current Chair, Service & Advocacy.

After training as a pharmacist in Melbourne she returned to her rural roots and ran community pharmacies with her husband at Clunes and

Maryborough. In 2014 their pharmacy was a finalist in the Pharmacy of the Year Award. She also served three terms on the Maryborough District

Health Service board of management. Retired since 2020, her significant community involvement saw her recently inducted into the   Victorian

Honour Roll of Women as a Local Champion.

ZONTA SPIRIT COORDINATOR   

As Zonta Spirit Coordinator Bronwen is tasked with guiding the inaugural awards for District Governor’s Award: Zonta Spirit in 2027.  These awards will be presented to someone from each Area who has made a significant contribution to Zonta, actively supported the mission, strategic goals and values for Zonta International through actively participating in local Zonta activities. The Awards will be presented annually at each District 23 Area Meeting.

Bronwen looks forward to spreading the word about these awards and receiving nominations from members who have embraced the mission of Zonta with zeal.
