Jane has been a member of the Zonta Club of Geelong since 2003 and held most club positions during that time.  Member of the District 23 Board in various roles from 2014-2020, including as Governor in the Centenary Biennium.
As well as chairing the D23 Nominating Committee Jane is currently serving as a member of the Zonta International Membership Committee

Each nominating committee is elected by delegates at District Conferences.  The committee is tasked with finding qualified candidates for the positions of:

Governor

Lt Governor

Treasurer

Area Directors

Vica Area Directors (if applicable)

Nominating Committee

The committee can also submit nominations to the international nominating committee for positions at the international level.

Whilst there are changing times ahead for Zonta International, as outlined in the Blueprint for the Future, the 2028-2030 biennium district roles do not change.  Nominating for a leadership role can feel to be outside a member’s comfort zone, however, the benefits in terms of personal growth and confidence, and education are a wonderful opportunity  and the committee urges members to consider standing for one of the above roles.
